Boundaries copied and renamed. Then overlain with 'Major River Basin' line dataset in ArcMAP. In 'EDIT' session, used 'construct features' tool to select basin lines in each of the following counties; Henderson, Smith, Polk, Trinity and Hays. Then used 'SPLIT' command to split each county polygons. Line running through Wharton county was edited to extend to the outer limits of the town of El Campo. Then 'SPLIT' command was selected and Wharton county polygon was split. Austin city limit line extending into Williamson was constructed by setting the 'snapping' option to the 'Stratmap' city boundary dataset (around Austin) for the most part. Part of the line was interpolated between the cities of Cedar Park and Austin and then 'snapping' to original Regional Water Planning Area line. "Brazos G" line was then snapped to "Region K's" endpoints to match. The lines edits in Young county were done in the same manner. Because this process resulted in some minor slivers we recreated each region from the counties base map by editing a copy of the counties base map. We used the MERGE command to merge those counties that belong to a region.
